When I first started flying drones, it was out of pure attraction to the footage and the controls suited me after a lifetime of playing video games. I never believed it would take me to places I had never been and be able to fly them high above on an island like St. Martin|St. Maarten. The beauty fits with drone footage so well that it’s almost as if it was designed to be flown there.
After releasing my video
ST MARTIN | ST MAARTEN AFTER HURRICANE IRMA I had many people emailing me and commenting about the drone footage I had shot. It made me realize I have so much additional footage sitting on my hard drive. So I wanted to release it for all to enjoy.

It’s also home to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Since the area is gated, many travelers don’t realize they can access these beaches. There are no private beaches in St. Martin so it’s completely legal to be on any of them. So go out and explore!
Baie Longue Beach is one of my favorites. It’s LONG so there’s always a private spot to sit. You can take incredible walks here and the best time of day is right before sunset. It’s an amazing spot to witness the colors as the sun drops below the horizon. PLUM BAIE
Plum Baie is a nice inlet with which faces the sunset. If you want to watch the sun while it falls, this is the spot to be. This beach is more popular, but will still feel very peaceful. When the waves are just right, you can spot many surfers here catching some waves over by the rocks. BAIE ROUGE
Baie Rouge is the easiest beach to access from the public roads and has a very large parking lot so expect more of a crowd here. The water is absolutely stunning and of course it’s perfectly warm. Have you visited Terres Basses? What’s your favorite spot? Do you rent a villa here? Which one? Tell me about your experiences in the comments!
