Graffiti to brighten destruction in St. Maarten

After Hurricane Irma hit the island of St. Martin | Sint Maarten, you can only imagine how much damage there was. Roofs blown off, greenery gone, and windows were blown out. While there is a lot of construction happening, one part that may take time is the removal of boats that have found their way into the most mysterious places. These have created a blank canvas for artists to show off some of their work. While we don’t normally propose graffiti, I believe this is one situation where it’s bringing a bit of brightness to a dark situation.

The above photos can be seen directly next to the airport by the roundabout going between the airport and Simpson Bay.

Have you spotted other boats around the island? What are your thoughts about this? Tell me about it in the comments.
