Baie Rouge Beach after Hurricane Irma

Baie Rouge beach is one of the only beaches in Terres Basses that is easily accessible for the public (no guard gate) and has a restaurant on it…until now.

The beach is still accessible and has a huge parking lot, however, just recently a restaurant called Gus’ Beach Bar has been removed from the beach. The bar had survived the hurricane, but couldn’t continue on.

So now Baie Rouge beach becomes similar to all the other Terres Basses beaches. No restaurant. No chair rentals. No music. Just an empty beach.

At least there is parking?

Know any more information about why the beach bar was removed or the future of Baie Rouge beach? Let me know in the comments.
